Arrington, Edgar & Shiel, LLC (AES) is dedicated to delivering custom designed businesses that provide “one stop shop” Mortgage and Title Insurance to our mortgage and title insurance partners.
AES was formed in 2003 by Joseph E. Settle, Michael S. Thompson, and A.H.A. Williams IV. These founding partners have over sixty years of experience in the mortgage and financial services industry. These mortgage professionals had previously created and managed a company that specialized in buying and selling mortgages throughout the United States and Europe. In late 2002, the AES founders recognized the trend of consolidating the services surrounding the real estate market. It became clear to Messieurs Settle, Thompson, and Williams that real estate brokerage services, mortgage services, title insurance, settlement services, homeowner insurance services, and concierge services were consolidating into one service provider that was able to provide superior service at reduced prices to the consumer. These consolidated services were being formed around the large national builders and large national real estate companies. The AES founders realized that this trend would become the future norm because of the considerable advantages of increased volume with reduced costs along with the industry changes that are being wrought as a result of the developing information technology. The AES founders realized that these benefits could translate to the medium or regional builders and real estate agencies and decided that they would bring the “one stop shop” concept to regional builders and developers, market leading real estate agencies, independent financial advisors, and regional insurance agencies.
In July of 2006, AES announced the addition of Brian Kenedy as a Partner. Brian brings a wealth of experience and wisdom that he gained from his experiences at Director level positions in multi-national corporations.
Crystal Holland partnered with Messieurs Thompson and Williams to form AES Title Partners in April of 2007. Crystal honed her ample skills over the last 14 years working with attorneys and title companies in all facets of the title insurance industry.
Arrington Edgar & Shiel and AES Title Partners form and manage independent Mortgage Banking companies and Title Insurance agencies in joint ventures with medium-sized Real Estate Brokers, Builders, Developers, Financial Advisors, and Insurance Agencies located in North Carolina and adjoining states.
